Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has today announced that David Pleat and Chris Hughton will stay on as manager and assistant-manager respectively, until the end of the season. The statement was made at the AGM held this afternoon at White Hart Lane. Levy told the shareholders, 'I am pleased to announce today am pleased to announce today that David Pleat and Chris Hughton will continue in their current positions until the end of the season. This will give the Club the degree of continuity it needs until we make our most important managerial appointment. We will make that appointment in the summer. '

Many Spurs fans had been hoping that a new manager would come in and take over after the Christmas period, but this will not be the case. On other issues, Mr. Levy stated that there are still no plans in place to rebuild parts of the stadium as the club cannot strike a deal with the government over transport and other local amenities . As well as this, the chairman was proud to add that the club has agreed a deal with current sponsors 'Thomson' which will run until June 2006.
