Spurs lead the pack of club’s behind Chelsea by so far having done what they often failed to do in previous seasons – beat the league’s struggling sides.

However, Head Coach Martin Jol knows that in order to start showing proper signs of a transformation at the club the next four games are crucial and 100% is required from this point onwards.

"The media said last season was mediocre but for us it was the first step towards the top four," he told the Independent.

"The pressure is - will we deliver now? And that is what I have to teach. We don't have time, you have to do it now."

"The players have to compete in a big club like Spurs. You can't think 'I'll go straight into the first team'."

Last four results: Everton (h) 2-0 win, Charlton (a) 3-2 win, Fulham (h) 1-0 win, Aston Villa (a) 1-1

Next four fixtures: Manchester United (a), Arsenal (h), Bolton (a), West Ham (h)
