Following on from the victories at Stevenage and Wycombe, Spurs came away from the Kassam Stadium with a comfortabe win that saw Zamora find the net twice in the first half.

On 21 minutes he latched onto a through-ball from Poyet before beating Oxford keeper Simon Cox and he added his and Spurs second in the 44th minute.

The £1.5million signing from Brighton at the end of last week was replaced by Robbie Keane at half-time and he scored Spurs' third goal in the 63rd minute with a long range effort.

Spurs: Burch, Hughes (Carr h/t), Taricco, Jackson (Gailbraith 70), Henry, Perry, Anderton, Poyet, Zamora (Keane h/t), Blondel, Etherington (Yeates 80). Subs not used: Jalal, Foster, Slabber, Barnett.
