Pleat and Keane give Postiga their backing

Caretaker boss David Pleat and strike partner Robbie Keane have both lent their support to struggling youngster Helder Postiga. Then Portuguese international is yet to score in a Spurs shirt since his summer signing from FC Porto and was guilty of missing a couple of good opportunities in yesterday's game. However, Pleat admitted that despite it taking a while for young, foreign players to settle in this won't stop Postiga's determination and pointed out that 'The ball didn't run kindly for him'. He also added that Postiga was slowly 'getting used' to the Premiership.

As well as the words from Pleat, Postiga has been backed by Keane who said, 'Helder is a good player, he socred lots of goals last year in Portugal... He is flying in training, and when that first goal comes, it will all come good for him'. Praise indeed, but Postiga just needs that elusive goal.
