Pleat praises Ricketts

David Pleats has admitted his delight in seeing Rohan Ricketts grab the crucial equaliser in yesterday's victory over Aston Villa. Pleat also heaped praise on his second substitute Bobby Zamora. On the former, Pleat said, 'We needed a bit of jiggery-pokery and Rohan can give us that'. He was spot on, as Ricketts, who replaced Paul Konchesky just before the hour added some much needed forward impact. He grabbed his first Premiership goal for the club with just thirteen minutes left on the clock. Spurs had huffed and puffed for large proportions of the game, but Pleat's master-strokes changed the game. He stated that Zamora played like 'he had a rocket up his backside from somewhere'. SpursMad predicted in midweek that Zamora would be a lot sharper after losing weight having had his tonsils removed, and were proved right on yesterday's showing.
