The former Crystal Palace winger has only played once for Spurs, on the opening day of the season. Since then, 18-year-old Aaron Lennon has come into the side and following an impressive introduction to the Premiership also earned himself a call-up to the England Under 21 side that Routledge had been a regular in up until the injury.

Noe Pamarot could be set to make a comeback some time in either late October or early November.

The French full-back resumed full training last week after a cruciate knee ligament injury had ruled him out since April.

Anthony Gardner also reported he is about halfway through recuperation from the thigh muscle injury he sustained at Aston Villa on September 17.
