Rebrov warms to Fulham proposal

Pleat admitted yesterday that Spurs would listen to offers for the striker and Rebrov, who has failed to break up the partnership of Les Ferdinand and Teddy Sheringham this season, revealed that he would prefer to stay in London where his young family are settled rather than a switch to Italy or Spain.
AC Milan, Barcelona, Lazio and Valencia are all keen to land the Ukraine international, but Rebrov has spoken of his desire to link up with Fulham's legendary French boss Jean Tigana.
"I think Jean Tigana can build a strong team and I would like to play under his guidance," he said. "I know that I would be playing in the first team if I went to Fulham - Spurs have no reason to keep me on the bench."
The chance to recoup much of the fee for Rebrov may not be passed up with Glenn Hoddle looking to bolster his side in the coming months and the close season. Sunderland's Kevin Phillips and Liverpool's Jamie Redknapp are all top targets for the Spurs boss.
However, Hoddle is keen to keep hold of the club's £11million record capture for the time being at least, particularly with Sheringham facing a three-match suspension and Spurs facing a number of crucial games in January which could make or break their season.
