Rodrigo Bentancur is expected to be on the sidelines until November after having surgery on a serious knee injury.
The dynamic midfielder ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during Tottenham Hotspur's damaging 4-1 defeat to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium - a game which Bentancur scored Spurs' only goal in.
Last week Tottenham confirmed that the ex-Juventus and Boca Juniors man would be out of action for the remainder of the current campaign.

Following surgery however, Sky Sports have reported that Bentancur will now be expected to miss a big portion of the start of the 2023/24 season as well as the end of the current campaign.
The news comes as a bitter blow to Tottenham who also recently lost Yves Bissouma to injury too. The midfielder is set to be out of action for two months after needing surgery to repair a stress fracture.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Pape Matar Sarr and Oliver Skipp are now the only senior midfielders in Antonio Conte's ranks.
Skipp and Hojbjerg have been the preferred starting duo in recent weeks but Sarr has also been praised for his impact in his limited minutes.
