Jol revealed that Routledge suffered ‘a little stress fracture of his foot’ at Portsmouth. After a consultation with the club doctor it was confirmed the former Crystal Palace player would be out for at least two months.

Routledge has joined Tom Huddlestone on the list of long term absentees at the club.

"Huddlestone could be out for weeks with a knee injury," Jol added.
