Meanwhile, Glenn Hoddle’s faint hopes of reaching the play-offs with Wolves disappeared following yet another draw. Carl Cort who scored an equaliser in midweek spoke out at how unsettling its been for the players to be left in the dark regarding Hoddle’s long term future at the Midlands club.

"He knows a lot about the game and is good for us, but it’s a shame as you can’t build for the future," said Cort.
