Sherwood's Spurs days over?

Sherwood's agent Eric Hall told The Sun newspaper that Glenn Hoddle had taken a personal dislike to the midfielder after an outspoken attack on the Spurs boss' tactics last summer.

"We had a meeting with Spurs last week," said Hall.

"David Pleat told us there and then that Tim would never play for Spurs again while Glenn is in charge.

"He said that it's nothing to do with his ability - it's a personal thing.

"I am amazed that someone can let their personal feelings get in the way of putting out the best possible team for Tottenham."

Sherwood has been told that he can leave on a free transfer if a club comes in for him and Portsmouth and West Brom are reported to be interestedin the former England international.
