Spurs go Dutch on trialist goalkeeper

David Pleat has made his first addition to the Tottenham squad with the invitation for Dutch goalkeeper Oscar Moens to come along as a trialist. Moens, who has been capped twice by Holland but was released by his club AZ Alkmaar is a familiar figure to Spurs goalkeeping coach Hans Segers and will be watched over the next few weeks. Pleat made the decision after a serious injury to young stopper Shawan Jalal. The caretaker boss said 'We only have three senior goalkeepers and that is slightly risky'. Moens will be unable to be added into the first team squad, but if he impresses during his stay he may become a familiar face around the club.
