Spurs linked with Charlton left-back

Hoddle is aware that he needs to strengthen the left side of his defence following Matthew Etherington's move to West Ham as part of the deal to bring Freddie Kanoute to the Lane.

Charlton appear to be prepared to listen to offers for the left wing-back and an offer of around £3million could temp them to part with the player.
