We have signed two strikers in Mido & Mounir El Hamdaoui.
Out of the two Mido is the most exciting as he is in direct competition with Kanoute for the target mans role which we have so badly been missing since Fredi’s been injured.
This coupled with the excellent news that “Digger” is not only close to a 1st team return, but seems to have also recovered his pace which had been missing for the past year due to various injuries and a debilitating virus.
So as far as transfer targets go, this has got to be very close to “Mission Accomplished”.

Hats off to Frankie/Martin on this as in the past we have just gone for “Star” names as opposed to this time round where we are addressing specific team needs.
Who knows, this could even be cause for optimism for the remainder of the season!.
