Spurs still Teddy's first choice

The 37-year-old former England striker has been targetted by a number of clubs but says he would prefer to stay at The Lane if a new deal can be thrashed out.

"We won't be talking until the end of the campaign and that's not a problem," Sheringham told the Evening Standard. 

"I will be taking it from there. I've thoroughly enjoyed playing here and my first choice would be to stay."
