Starlet named in England squad

Young Spurs right back Phil Ifil has been praised by caretaker boss David Pleat after earning a call-up to the England U20 squad. Ifil has been included in the party for the World Championships in Dubai, and what it is a great accolade for Phil, is made all the better by the fact that he has only just turned 17. Pleat said, 'I just hope he does well and this will be his first performance on the big stage'. He added, 'He's established himself well this season'. Who knows, he may be the future for Spurs.
