One month on from Tottenham's season seemingly being on the brink of disaster, they were remarkably only minutes away from completing a sixth successive victory at lunchtime on Sunday.

Three crucial home games are now scheduled within the space of six days, commencing with a European night at White Hart Lane this week.

Martin Jol said: "There are a lot of positives after a disappointing spell two or three weeks ago. We have scored 20 goals in six matches which is pleasing and we've done well during a schedule of five away matches in six games, in which we managed five wins and a draw, that's a good sequence of results."

Spurs held on in the closing minutes against Chelsea and the winner of the FA Cup replay in seven days time will face Blackburn Rovers in the semi-final.

Jol's side only just missed out on a Carling Cup Final appearance after forcing the all north London semi-final into extra time. Spurs also have a 100% record after seven UEFA Cup ties this season.

"We have played 17 cup games this season and over 90 minutes we have not lost," added Jol.
