The 20-year-old striker has cost Tottenham an initial £6.25million from FC Porto, with the figure rising to £8.25million depending on appearances and team performance.
"He is a player who will add definite striking quality to our squad and is a young player of proven ability," Spurs boss Glenn Hoddle told the clubs official website.
"I'm sure our supporters will enjoy watching him over the coming seasons."
