Sullivan fractured the thumb in a freak training ground accident at the end of August returned to full training on Friday and is now looking forward to playing again.

"I've had two days back now," he told the club's official website. I started on Friday and eased myself back into it today (Monday), had a good, technical morning with Perry Suckling and it feels great. I've had no trouble and no reaction so touch wood, that's it."

"I've done all my fitness work in the lay-off I've had, so it's not a case of having to come back and work on my fitness and goalkeeping. It feels great and I'm looking forward to playing games again.

"I'm going to have another couple of days with Hans Segers and make myself available for selection after that. We'll see what happens."

"To be fair, the medical team have done a great job, it's mended properly and we'll carry on. It was one of those freak accidents that happen so you can't worry about it, just forget about it and move on.

"All I can do now is work hard, keep my head down and go from there."
