Taricco is back in light-training
Argentinian defender Taricco has been struggling with the injury for much of this season and says he won't risk making a return to playing until the injury has fully cleared up.

"I'm okay," he told the club's official website. "It's the abductor muscle in the groin and I'm having treatment and training a little bit.

"I need to get it 100 per cent. I don't want to come back and have a problem again, I want to be able to everything and train 100 per cent pain-free.

"It's a day by day thing really, it improves every day.

"Obviously I need to keep training. When I sprint I feel it a little bit and when I use the inside of my foot to kick the ball I feel it.

Gus Poyet

Meanwhile, midfielder Gus Poyet is back in full training with the rest of the squad after undergoing keyhole surgery last month.

"I feel alright - no problems, my knee is responding well, I was running a lot and I think that is the most important thing to get me fit.

"I'm enjoying my football again, said Poyet.
