The Tottenham Lineup That Should Start Against Antwerp

Tottenham host Group J leaders Antwerp on matchday six of the Europa League group stage on Thursday night. Only a win against will allow Spurs to progress as group winners, while anything less will condemn them to a place among the unseeded teams in the draw for the last 32.

Antwerp inflicted a shock defeat on Spurs on matchday two, beating them 1-0 in Belgium. Jose Mourinho will demand that history does not repeat itself against Ivan Leko's side.

The Portuguese manager is likely to rotate his squad from Sunday's brilliant north London derby win in a month where Spurs have to play nine times.

Let's get into the lineup that should start on Thursday...

1. Goalkeeper and Defenders

Joe Hart (GK) - The goalkeeper has featured in four of Spurs' five games so far in the group stage, keeping two clean sheets. He looks set to start his fifth as Mourinho rotates the squad, despite his calamitous performance last week.

Matt Doherty (RB) -
Mourinho's favoured right back for the Europa League, Doherty has also featured four times, and looks the likely option to start against Antwerp.

Davinson Sanchez (CB) -
The Colombian was part of a shaky defence last Thursday against LASK, but is set to feature once more for sake of rotation.

Japhet Tanganga (CB) -
The other centre-back that night was Tanganga, who performed much better than Sanchez and deserves another chance to come into the team.

Ben Davies (LB) -
Has played in all five group games this season, providing one assist. The form of Sergio Reguilon is keeping him out of the Premier League side, so will continue in Europe.

2. Midfielders

Harry Winks (CM) - Has become a fringe player in recent months, but with Mourinho resting his most trusted men for the Premier League, Winks looks set to start on Thursday night.

Giovani Lo Celso (CM) -
Had a solid game against Arsenal last weekend and is likely to feature again.

Dele Alli (CM) -
The Englishman has overall failed to impress this season. However, after scoring against LASK, he should get another opportunity in the Europa League.

3. Forwards

Gareth Bale (RW) - Bale wasn't expected to be totally back to fitness until Christmas, so it will be good for him to get more minutes here. The Welshman scored his 200th career goal last Thursday against LASK.

Vinicius (ST) -
Scored twice on his last outing, which was in the 4-0 triumph over Ludogorets on matchday four.

Lucas Moura (LW) - Seems to have swapped places with Steven Bergwijn in the Europa League/Premier League rotation.
