Tottenham draw City in Carling Cup

Tottenham have drawn Manchester City in the Quarter Final of the Carling Cup with the game to be played at Eastlands during the week beginning December 17th.

The two clubs are yet to meet in the league this season but have enjoyed contrasting recent form. Despite a recent 6-0 defeat at Chelsea, City have been flying under new manager Sven-Goran Eriksson and currently sit in 3rd place in the Premiership. Tottenham will be hoping that their expensive new foreign manager will have the same affect on their fortunes.

Tottenham advanced to the Quarter Finals by overcoming a spirited Blackpool side last week. Goals from Robbie Keane and Pascal Chimbonda gave Jaunde Ramos a win in his first game in charge. Manchester City reached the same stage with a controversial 1-0 against Bolton.
