Tottenham Make Enquiry Into Bayern Munich Youngster and His MLS-Based Brother

Tottenham Hotspur have apparently made an enquire into the availability of Bayern Munich youth star Taylor Booth, as well as his younger brother Zach who plays for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer.

José Mourinho's staff became aware of Booth during an Under-19 match against Bayern Munich earlier this season, where the 18-year-old set up two of the Bavarians' goals during their 3-0 win over Tottenham in the UEFA Youth League.

Booth only joined Bayern Munich's youth system last season, but the Daily Mail report Tottenham are now looking to sign the United States Under-19 international as part of their rebuild ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur are also keeping track of Booth's younger brother Zach, who's still playing in Major League Soccer with Real Salt Lake.

The youngest of the two actually spent time in north London on trial before returning to the United States just before Christmas, but Tottenham have been keeping track of his progress over the last five months.

Zach, an Under-17 international with the United States, has also caught the attention of scouts from Leicester City, Norwich City and Fulham.

The Daily Mail's report doesn't make it clear when Tottenham would look to bring the Booth brothers into their youth system on a full-time basis, but as wholesale first-team changes will be difficult to get over the line due to the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, the club might consider a double transfer this summer.

Bayern Munich's Booth only has a contract with the club until 2022 and could look to move elsewhere to break into senior football, although the 18-year-old could even be given a chance in the first-team this season if they're able to reclaim the Bundesliga title with matches to spare.
