The German international underwent emergency surgery after his thigh muscle blew up to twice its size after the Premiership clash against Charlton last December.

However, although he is still receiving treatment on the injury, Ziege is now back jogging in an effortt to build-up the thigh muscle.

"It is going well," Ziege told the Spurs official website.

"I've had a lot of work to do and it's been quite hard, quite painful but the result is there.

"I can jog a little, kick a ball a little and I'm moving forward.

"The muscle is getting there, a little inside needs building up, but I'm quite happy.

"I'm jogging, doing my co-ordination work, some weights and having treatment and that's it at the moment. It's going well."
