2 targets are being replaced

As you may have seen not only have Shakhtar signed a replacement for one of our targets, but also Porto have 2 candidates lined up to replace Moutinho.

Now as much as this may mean that the teams are happy to now sell, it does not mean that they are happy to drop their asking price!

Shakhtar are cash rich, if the Ukraine league was regarded higher then they would not only attract soon to be big names, but would then keep them after they become the big name. Porto have a similar problem in that the league is more of a feeder league. Most of the "big" players in the league where bought in, but with the teams knowing what they were to grow into. Hulk and Falcao are prime examples of this.

Levy could be playing a very interesting game here, with Shakhtar already replacing their star man and Porto about to replace theirs could he be thinking that he can play the 2 off of each other? In my opinion if this is the case it’s a very dangerous one to play. Shakhtar don't need to sell Willian  (so that leads to a Hazard situation, don't sign him in Jan and lose to another club come summer). Porto had been in talks with the Russians about Moutinho, but did not have the time to sell both Hulk and Moutinho. So not signing Moutinho now would lead to a loss. It’s time to make up your mind!!

So as it stands we have options in the big name signing that Spurs need in midfield, that’s forgetting that Sneijder is a possibility (whether you agree or not Sneijder is a fantastic player).

I am starting to believe that Levy has waited too long now and that we are unlikely to sign the big name that we need in midfield or up front, but I still dream of it!.
