A Quick Sale for Quick Buys

As with all of our transfer targets the supposed snag is that we were waiting for the Luka sale to go through (why this is when we have been given investment from the U.S. I don't know).

With approximately 2 weeks left in the market things have taken a turn (whether it be for the worst or for the best is yet to be seen).

Lloris, Adebayor, M'VIla and Ramirez are all the supposed targets (if we signed Cesar we may as well all pack up or should have kept to Gomes as No.1). The massive documented issue on Ramrez is that Spurs did not offer enough of a financial package to him, but even his agent has stated that he would expect that to change once Luka leaves to Madrid. Lloris's father stated he expected to see a deal for his son push through after the Luka deal and it is widely documented about the pursuit of M'Vila and Adebayor, so if this is correct it would in fact be a genius move by Levy, however I do not expect to see him spend so aggresively.

One thing I will say is that I agree that Luka should have been sold, I still disagree with how he did it and with the people that interferred (recently Igor reared his head to shoot his unprofessional mouth off), but it is a good thing if the squad is strengthened in the correct way.

I still see the likes of M'Vila and Ramirez as a risk and with Levy's history on risks (Darren Bent) he may not be as accomodating as fans may expect.

What needs to happen now is for a squad clear out of the others that shouldn't be there. Bentley and Dos Santos are 2 names that spring to mind automatically as one is on a big wage and the other we could get a good price for (thus clearing more funds for wages and purchases), but for some reason these 2 players keep avoiding the chop. For those wanting to shout about Dos Santos being given another chance, he DOESN'T want it he wants to move back to Spain (so why keep hold of him?).

EIther way there are some turbulent times approaching and fast, 2 days time we see the start of our next campaign and we are under strengthed up front and still haven't resolved the keeper position (Brad is fantastic, but how much longer does he have?).

As always though I ask you the fans to lead by example, support the team, support the manager and most importantly be those missing players by shouting as loud as you can from the stands, I know I will.
