Since the beginning of the season Ade has not been high up on AVB's list. He was a player acquired before AVB came in (however the completion of the deal was completed after AVB's arrival). For proof of this just see the leaked photos of Ade in the new kit (which were taken very end of the season).
Defoe was the man banging in the goals and you can understand why AVB was not keen to disrupt the flow, however this disrupted Ade's love and trust for a team that showed him there is still life after going right to the top with Madrid.
There are few things that AVB has not handled well in my opinion and a main one was the Ade situation. I am not here to moan about that so let's move on.
Once Ade was introduced to the starting line-up (being given a run of games), his mood and fitness were apparent and fans did take to showing their aggression toward him. Role on Europa League. Ade's form and performances were improving (although too many fans ignored it), then we had the Inter game. Ade was not having the best of games (still better than most of the players on the pitch) took us through by poking the ball into the back of the net. This is the catalyst for Ade's return. The faithful fans stopped and started to pay attention (whilst other wrongfully continued to show their misplaced discontent).
The Fulham and Swansea game saw Ade coming close, but these was a further improvements (why didn’t the windgers see this?). Some of the old moves were coming back and more and more fans started to remember who Ade was. Yesterday was Ade's game of the season and in my opinion he was a candidate for Man of the Match.
I read some comments that stated Ade would still be bad with Velcro stuck to his boots and that he had a poor game? Really?! Was it not Ade that scored and setup our second? Surely I didn't dream that? No I'm right and the buffoon that wrote that certainly got a dressing down from me.
As I have been trying to point out Ade's performances have improved and we can clearly see this against Everton, my concern is that AVB took so long to bring it back out of him. We are where we are though so let’s concentrate on the games ahead.
Some fans told me that if Ade scores in the remaining games all will be redeemed. Well that’s one already and I know there is more to follow.
Let's remember fans, Ade is Spurs player until sold and whether you like it or not he is beginning to look good and you HAVE to support him. If you want to misplace your anger and frustration then please don't take to the internet as his morale is shaking enough as it is.
Do not take this as an article written by Ade, I admire all of our players, but I must stick up for players that perform and fans get up on their high horse wrongfully shouting abuse.
Anyone that disagrees I will happily take your email and proof that Ade's performances are not improving, but remember that you are talking to someone that is looking into things a lot harder than many.
