Wesley Sneijder has now all but signed for Gala! I for one am shocked. I've said it before and I'll say it again, career suicide! I thought many people had it wrong and he was not a money hungry pre-madonna with only a thirst for the grean gas (and forget the football). Either way I am starting to heat up (despite this cold weather).
We had 4 midfield option Sneijder, Moutinho, Willian and Belhanda. 1 of those has gone already, but following Sneijder's departure we expect to see Belhanda move to Inter, so essentially that is 2 targets gone.
So now we have the 2 most expensive options left (congratulations on your money saving tactics there Levy). Willian has been replaced at Shakhtar, but with no offers coming in Willian has been left to return with his tail between his legs (*SIGH). Mountinho had looked to be replaced at Porto, but we are yet to see any signings there.
I just don't understand it, all the pundits I have heard confirm what us fans know, that we lack in someone pulling the strings enough in the final third.
AVB has now even come out and stated that we should buy, but this should have already been in the pipeline. It showed against QPR as well, or did the club fail to see that?
I am fed up of people placing the blame where it’s not due. Levy is LONG overdue a backlash from his failure to purchase in Jan and allow the team to faulter! Give AVB and the squad a break! Us moaning at the chairman is not going to affect anything over than his ego and to be honest his ego is way down my list!
I want signings Levy and we fans make all this possible, appease us and the team and get your cheque book out!!!
