Bale not ready for Madrid

Last updated : 27 August 2013 By Hoggg

I can understand that the player would great frustrated over not getting what he wants, but he needs to remember that he is under contract and that a deal is being dealt with, but his current club deserves the best deal (especially when they don’t want him to go).

I believe that this move of childish AWOL (again if true) shows the lad’s immaturity and that he is not ready for such a move. It quite frankly shows a lack of respect for the club and it's fans, as well as football in general.

I would like to remind the player of our patience with his very slow acclimatisation to the club (for at the time a reasonable sized fee), did we spit our toys out and call him names, ask for his transfer out?`

Although I like to see the good in our players this turn has allowed me to question the lad. Has he been a spoilt brat from the start of this? Just wanting fame as the most expensive player and a large wage to go with it? If this is the case the lad has gone from a level headed guy to a complete idiot (a typical footballer stereotype). A player that is ready for such a move with such a large fee must understand that he would be allowed to leave once a replacement is found. He cannot expect to leave the fans, club and manager (that he supposedly admires) facing a team that has lost it's creative source (a player of his magnitude) without a replacement? Is he living with his head up his backside?

With all due respect to Bale I think he has forgotten his roots. A quiet boy playing in Southampton's youth squad that shot into stardom following his big money move to the Premier League. To now a man who thinks he is the world and it’s all owed to him.

Do I expect any fans to give him abuse? No I think that we should show our class and maturity. Do I think the player has embarrassed himself and let himself and family down with his supposed immature behavior? Yes. Nowadays footballers are the worst role models available. If they are not accused of being rapists, drug dealers (or rather involvement from their family) and alcoholics they are having temper tantrums over wages and a move to a bigger club that they are generally not ready for.

Once again if this rumour is true it has without a doubt proven Bale is not ready to cope with such a big money move and he is moving for all the wrong reasons. However we do need to realise that this could again be paper talk. Maybe the deal is almost done and AVB and Levy do not want Bale disrupting the squad? There are many reasons behind Bale not being in training and it is the paper's that have jumped on this without any clear proof.

As fans we need to react and have a right to voice our concerns and disappointment at the player (anger though is pointless and unnecessary).

When this is all finalised I will be a happy bunny and I ask that Bale (if he is reacting as reported), to grows up, as this behaviour is not helping him or the clubs in their negotiations. As for his adviser..... I wish a multitude of misfortune upon you. Agents like this individual considered nothing but what is good fot his own pay packet and eventually he will be found out (SCUM). Too many agents have forced players into moves that destroy their careers.

On a positive side let's hope the ITK sources suggesting Lamela deal is done today are right. Not seeing it in the media is not a bad thing as it stops us from having any late bidders.
