Battle of the gloves due to end

AVB may have been playing an interesting game in getting the best out of his keeper. What better way to get your new keeper playing well from the start but to tell him that he will have to fight to get the No.1 shirt?

Much of the same could in fact be said of Adebayor and Defoe.

But to keep on track AVB has said that he is about to stop his keeper rotation and as expected most pundits believe Lloris will be the man to fill that slot.

Adebayor has come out and given his thoughts on Hugo Lloris;

“I knew him well already and what he has done hasn’t surprised me, because I know how good he is,” said Adebayor, who is suspended for the game at White Hart Lane. “We’ve got four amazing goalkeepers (Carlo Cudicini and Heurelho Gomes are also at Spurs), all good professionals working hard.

“We’re happy for Lloris because he has already had some fantastic games. I knew about him when I was playing in France and I still love watching the French league, so I’ve known for a while how good he is. I am also good friends with [striker] Bafetimbi Gomis, who played with Hugo at Lyon, and he has told me a lot about him. We are very happy to have him and in the last couple of games, he has proved himself to be one of the world’s best.”

I like to think that AVB has played his cards close to his chest and that his hand seems to be coming up trumps (in the keeper department).

Come on you Spurs!!!!
