Bernard could move after the Libertadores

Bernard said:

"There is no chance I will leave before the Libertadores. I have made that clear to Atletico. If they want to sell me, do so after the Libertadores. I want to make history at this club.”

"There is nothing right now, just speculation. The club's president has said I am unlikely to stay, that it will be hard to keep me, so I am waiting on a decision. If he decides something, we will sit down and talk and decide what is best for everyone."

So although the player is not going anywhere now he may be moving come the end of July.  Further fuel was added to the fire as the Atletico president Alexandre Kalili said:

"I won't talk about this. I will only talk when he is sold."

So as you would expect the papers will be churning the rumour mill and state that Bernard’s sale has not been denied.

To me, although I did not have to publish this, I like to keep fans in the picture. My thoughts on it are that Bernard is a big rising star in Brazil and most of Europe’s elite would scramble their offers in upon hearing his availability. So would he go to a team not in the Champions League? Maybe, but those teams may not be able to offer regular football.

The player has been told to avoid England already (by players that have never played in England), so any team in England may already be up against it.

His transfer will be decided late on in the summer and we are no further forward as to whether the player would even want to play in England, let alone Tottenham. This one is way too earlier to call.
