Although our ever reliable Brad has been the keeper that we have always needed between the sticks, but it is sad that we only managed to get him down to the Lane so late in his career. For this reason a new keeper was of paramount importance (whether spoken about or not).
A deal was agreed between the 2 clubs a long time ago, but it was put on hold with the transfer of Luka Modric. Now that this has been rubber stamped the news breaks that Lyon have accepted a bid and Spurs are waiting on Lloris to agree his terms.
Although his father had stated a while back that the deal will push ahead once Luka left, meaning that personal terms had been agreed in principle. What most sports fans tend to forget (me included) is how much has gone on in the background before the news is leaked.
This has been on the cards for a while and its only now that the £12million fee agreement has been released as the transfer is definately on.
As most reports have stated this is an odds on favourite to be finalised before the deadline passes.
