Has the football world lost their HEAD?

Hugo Lloris had a horrendous collision with Lukaku against Everton. He had lost consciousness and then after a long and heated debate he came back on.

Playing football myself I have had similar knocks, but yet I have played on (albeit with a major thumping headache), but I made that decision.

As a player you take full responsibility for your actions and I believe that the paper pushers of the world are going about this the wrong way.

In a game if a player refuses to leave the pitch what is a manager or the staff to do? Restrain him? Knock him out again?

Looking at what is being said there is a concern that Lloris's best interests were not taken into account, however it was Lloris that clearly made the decision.

I fully understand what the specialists are trying to say and I agree, but if there are no rules in place and the player refuses to leave the pitch you don't have much to stand on as a manager.

With a rule in place it simply takes the decision and feelings of the player out of the equation. What should be highlighted here is that are no rulings in place to protect the players and clubs.

Rather than waste time throwing mud and seeing if it sticks, be pro-active and push for a ruling that any player that suffer concussion should be substituted going forward.

Again I must highlight to all that I agree with both sides of the argument, if as a player you feel fine to play on than you have made that decision and in full consciousness knowing yourself. The medical staff is there to make sure there is nothing serious and no matter what is said a medical professional can tell if there is something serious.

A little bit too much from the "big wigs" sticking it to Tottenham again as far as I am concerned. Just push for a ruling you time wasters!
