Italians approach Spurs for midfielder

It is reported that Inter are looking at a season long loan for €6m and a final payment of €14m if they wish to keep the player. At just €20m or £14.5m that is a substantial loss for Tottenham to swallow. With this in mind I do not believe those figures to be correct as Levy would not sign away dramatic losses on both Soldado, Paulinho and Lamela.

However I do believe that the rumours seem to make sense.

Lamela has struggled with form since joining Spurs and it is likely the pace and physical side of the game which has caused the attacker issues.

We have seen glimpses of the old Lamela with a superb Rabona, but t seems as though his time at Spurs has too come to an end.

If Lamela is to go I believe it will be as a replacement has already been agreed. I had mentioned Bolasie yesterday and with rumours building rapidly it seemed as this may be the case, but looking at the financials I can’t see him signed for £20m and Lamela for sold for a potential £14m. The likelihood is that Lamela could be sold if a suitable replacement can be agreed.

A little early for this transfer to go through, but I feel that it has more credibility than most of the other reports at there (at the moment).
