Latest on Soldado

The good news is that even Valencia's players are expecting Soldado to move on! However the news of Roberto handing in a transfer request I am still very skeptical of.

Juan Bernat a left-winger for Valencia is the latest to break the feeling in the dressing room. The club's players are resigned that he has already left.

“They are now negotiating. I wish him well. It’s his decision. We know that Valencia has had some very good seasons and he has given us a lot.”

The media are still adamant that the deal on the table is £22million (including add-on's) and that Soldado has agreed a £3million a year contract, but I am still standing strong that I do not believe that at all. The only reason that Valencia are negotiating is due to the clause being meet, but it is how the payment is being made that is the sticking point.

The news concurs with what I had heard so I am still happy with how things are progressing (even if the news is not coming out from either club often enough to keep us all calm). Many feel that Levy will be haggling on price for too long and then lose us the deal, however he has admitted to his mistakes, he knows that AVB is the right man for the job and he will be backed heavily. It can be seen be the £17million acquisition of Paulinho, Levy would not have back Redknapp with that purchase as well as a world class striker.

Another thing that the media seem adamant about is that he has said that he wants to leave, but as I said above I would be surprised.

For me this deal is almost done all the whispers and news coming out seem as if it’s just minor haggling points, so I am hopeful that this will not take a horrific turn and we miss out.
