In 12 years Marco Borriello has managed to play for 10 different clubs and has struggled to really ever show any sign of being a decent player. He has never managed to play for one team for more than 1 season.
Having played for Milan and Roma you may say that he must have some talent.... if that is the case why is it that he has only ever managed to hit double figures in goals 4 out of these 10 years. Last season he was given 7 starts and scored 0 goals. In 2010 - 2011 he managed 17 goals in 46 appearences his best since 2007-2008 where he scored 19 with Genoa.
This is a player that has not peformed consistently and is not trusted enough to stay within a squad, it shows that he is a pointless addition to our squad. He is now 30 and at best a fairly good squad player if he can replicate his previous form of getting into double figures.
If you ask me don't waste time on this overrated primadonna and look at someone that is proven in the league... dare I say Demba Ba? If not buy in young english talent in Jordan Rhodes.
