This is all rather interesting as I am surprised that anyone at Tottenham is on a talking basis with the dirty back stabbers!
Tap'em Up Madrid are well known for their activities in transfers (and I am still surprised as to how any action has not come up against them).
Perez said in an interview that he didn’t want to talk much about Bale because Tottenham are a club 'they' are friends with and he would not want to upset us, but yet he still says that offering a huge fee for the player is justifiable, does he not realise he is talking to the media?
"Bale, not talk much, because he plays at a friendly club and they will be upset by talking so much about him. I know the president well and he does not like things like that."
With all of the on goings with players, staff and the director from Madrid constantly trying to unsettle the player if there was a friendship is he stupid to think there is now? Yes what a fool.
For me Tap'em Up Madrid are now trying to settle the damage they have caused in hope of landing Bale at some point. Whether they feel that trying to talk to the player direct through the media is not a form of tapping up I do not know, but the media are also in breach in my opinion as they are publishing these comments as well. As Perez stood alone in the elections he does not have to promise any of the superstar signings of the Galactico’s era.
Personally I would not deal with Madrid AT ALL until it is beneficial in terms of more than just money. Madrid have an abundance of players that are world class and they do not get into the squad. If you ask me constant loans and a world record fee could potentially be worth it in many people’s eyes, but I just cannot see how this can help us progress as a club by allowing a sale.
Unfortunately for me there are terms of writing on the website that I must adhere to, but if there were not I would have been putting my true thoughts as to what they at Madrid really are.
Either way Madrid are a club that completely lacks any sportsmanship or integrity and I hope that soon they get their comeuppance.
Stick to your guns Levy and unless we get a pool of players as well as a world record fee I would not even begin to consider the approaches from these slim balls.
