I remember a time when playing for your club meant something. Pulling on that jersey was the best thing that had happened to the players of past, but now for our current squad... its just another T-Shirt.
Then you have a manager that is as useful as a colander in a sinking ship. It'll get some water out, but it's just not the right tool. Again I believe that Sherwood COULD be a good manager, but he is not ready, we may as well field the under 12's whilst we’re at it, they know how to play football (as Sherwood knows how to manage), but both are too weak and have no experience.
The issue for me is that you do not play a player in the wrong position when you don't have too. You don't put in a player that is too young to cope with the game (again when you don't have too), you don't play a player that can't be bothered (may as well not field someone there at all).
There is no passion (don't misplace Sherwood’s tantrum's and foot stomping for someone that cares about the club rather than be proven to be the wrong man for the job).
Tottenham stopped existing as a club when the Chairman carried on after Redknapp was fired. He has made as many mistake as the managers he has fired for not doing their job. He is also passionless and clueless. The club made a profit of over a million.... wow how amazingly pointless! That £1million could have got us a loan deal that would not have seen us with 1 recognised striker!
If you wanted passion Steffan should have been given the job temporarily not Sherwood (he should have been given no.2).
Again we saw a very uninspired, lackluster, passionless and uninvolved game from all our players. Kane and Eriksen scored, but for the rest of the game (like the rest of the players) they deserved a 5 at best.
I hate speaking about the club in this way, but someone else show me some positives of why not to be concerned? The only good thing that I can see is that this ridiculous season is almost over! I would love to be sat here saying its a shame that we lost to Liverpool 2-0, but 4! I would love to be sat there saying we drew 3-3 with WBA (but we didn't deserve to lose), but I can't. We are losing games that we have no right to lose. We are being made to look worse than the bottom premier league teams. We spent a lot of money and have got nothing for it. We can blame the players, but can we expect for players to be at their best when they aren't even played in the right position.
Oh but don't worry we could finish on 72 points! Yeah thats great if it actually got us anything, but it won't as other teams around us aren't falling apart.
I hate to say it, but I am forgetting this season and the end of it couldn't come sooner. Levy messed up by selling Bale and panic buying 7 players. AVB messed up by being an ignorant and stubborn busybody and Sherwood messed up by not applying the simple rules of football to his management style (play players in their actual position).
Roll on summer as I want to see whether the club can stop making mistakes!
