Keane made his move to Liverpool after a successful season up front with Berbatov. It was a dream for the forward to make his move and at the time I remember saying it was a mistake, but there you go.
Keane thought that this big money move was the best thing for his career, but as with many players the move was not all it was cracked up to be.
The move really damaged Keane's name and if anything he never really got back to the same level after.
So when he stepped up to offer Bale some advice I would like to think that he would take it.
Robbie has said that he would like to see Bale stay at least another season and this is what I had said myself. Anything could happen next year and if Levy recruits as he suggested then Bale has every reason to want to stay. Yes Champions League is where it all happens, but as everyone knows the Europa League has really picked up over the last few years. Not ideal, but it is fact.
An unbiased piece of advice is not to be blinded by the big lights and blood money from Madrid and stay where he is still learning for a manager he loves and a team he loves. Many footballers stayed in one place and had a great time doing it, ask Alan Shearer!
Madrid have a huge problem of destroying players careers and fortunately these players went on to continue with another team and restate their name in the books. If Barcelona came forward yes think of them, but Madrid do more harm then good. Ronaldo is being offered all the money in the world to stay and still he says he's unhappy.
You only have to look at Madrids track record to see money can't buy you everything. Barcelona are still the bigger club!
We can all understand that it all seems great on paper, but whether his agent, that crook Perez or the Madrid fans admit it, they are not the force they once were and all that money thrown at it all still didn't get them far.
If Bale has any common sense he would know that Madrid is not the move for him now and a better team will come knocking (but that's if we do not improve and match his ambitions).
Fear not people its all in hand, as always agents mess a lot of things up and what was all done and dusted has been delayed due to fat greasy slime balls that care only about themselves and not their clients.
