Right so to get it right Sol Campbell the most notorious turn coat in Tottenham Hotspurs history has commented on Theo Walcott's impending free transfer to another club following Arsenal's failure to offer him a suitable contract.
His comments were as follows;
People love him, people hate him - but Theo is a good player, a great player, and he's growing every year. You can't lose him because his contract is running out or he wants a little bit more money. You've got to keep those type of players. We've lost too many over time. It used to be losing these players at 30 years old - now they're losing these players at mid-20s and that's crazy. You can't be losing players at mid-20s because of contract situations - it's crazy now."
To say that Campbell shouldn't be making these comments is one thing but he really does refer to himself as Arsenal through and through! Call it sour grapes all you want Arsenal fans, but the situation would be the same if reversed (and it could happen with Walcott as Liverpool and Spurs are interested in him).
I believe that the only people that offer Walcott advise on his contract and dealing with it are his family and agent. I wouldn’t take contract advise from the likes of Sol Campbel. Shearer or Le Tissier yes, but not Campbell. And in case you are wondering why I mention Le Tissier and Shearer, it’s because of their loyalty to their clubs!
