Against Utd we have been denied penalty after penalty over the years, but one decision is no clearer then that fateful day where Mendes hit a superb shot from the half way line and scored..... only for Carroll to hook the ball out of the net and the linesman to forget his job.
That decision cost Tottenham their spot in the Champion’s League, so to see it go our way for once is an absolute delight.
Did we deserve the 3 points, no we deserved 1, but at the end of the day we also had a clear handball in the box ignored when Smalling handled the ball out for a corner.
So really, if you want to look at it we were denied a penalty and so were Utd, as for Welbeck going down, MOTD summed it up well. Welbeck lost control of the ball and then went down under minimal contact.
So Spurs fans how do you feel after the win? How do you feel being on the winning side of the wrong decisions? Same as those Utd fans rubbing it in to us I expect, but worse for them it was in their back garden.
