Spurs are sinking

This to me is lighting all the wrong signals. AVB does not currently have the experience to manage such a team as Spurs (not because I think we are a top 3 team), but because there are too many issues with the players and the board (what I mean by board issues is look at the handling of the managers position with Jol, Ramos and Redknapp). An experienced manager is imperative to pull everything together. The players need some guidance and signals that the board are looking to move in the right direction. The board need to put their trust in someone and with AVB only being potentially a good manager they will not fully support him (meaning no funds, or rather the funds that are needed to stay competitive will not be given).

So if AVB is installed as the new manager it clearly will not signal a decision that has taken the time, it signals that the board are clutching at straws! He would be a cheaper option in terms of his contract and in terms of the funds he will be given.

Now onto the supposed instant signing expected for Sigurdsson. The only reason that he was linked with a team of Liverpool's size is because Rodgers likes him from his old club. The guy has had 1 have decent performance under a team that massively overachieved last season. What it signals to me is a cheap option to replace Modric with! Now right or wrong if that is the case I am shocked. You do not replace a world class player with someone that is not wanted by any of Europes top teams (meaning he is not world class)! With 7 goals in his 19 appearances for Swansea yes he scores more goals than Luka, but please this is not a wise investment. There are names such as Sahin being mooted as to be included in this fictions Modric deal to Madrid, but this is yet again rumour after rumour after B.S.!

I am sick of our club not providing its fans with clarity, respect or reassurance. It shows the boards lack of ambition clearly. I will once again state very clearly that Frank Rijkaard is the only option that would take us forward or Blanc at a push and I hope that the Sigurdsson and AVB articles are a load of rubbish. If not expect to see the Spurs ship sink, maybe not rapidly, but it will not be hitting the heights of 4th. There is no pessimistic or optimistic opinions in this article, it is realistic thinking based on fact and figures.

Ask yourself this.... Did Levy do the right thing in sacking Jol? Did he do the right thing in replacing him with Ramos? My response is simple... NO.

Look at what happened, Jol didn't get on with Levy (this was not just result based) he got sacked and found out when it was announced on his TV and his son told him (great work there Levy). He then panicked and although it was said Ramos being appointed happened over time it was rushed. Then look at where Ramos took us? Redknapp was a good appointment, but then once again Levy has not taken the time to make sure he can get another decent candidate in before he sacks the best manager he has worked with.

So all those that think Redknapp was tactically inept look at his win ration almost 50%, tell me when the club had a manager that can match or better Redknapps since the premiership was founded? A reality check is needed for fans, the board, the players and the club in general! Redknapp like it or not was the best thing that has happened to us. Yes it ended sour, but surely Levy could have quashed all this by offering Redknapp a contract prior to the England issue. As always it is leaving things to the last minute as we do in the transfer window and it worked to get Rafa, but when else did that work?

Brace yourselves if AVB and Sigurdsson come in it is a bad signal of things to come, however unrealistic word class players are of coming in, just look at Rafa. Oh and before you get on your high horse about look who Levy brought in... look who he didn't, he didn't want Parker or Friedel and look what fantastic additions they are.

Wake up Spurs fans Frank Rijkaard started the Barca revolution, AVB took over the Porto team set in by Jose, its all there in front of you and still you moan that Redknapp should or shouldn't have gone, Levy should be sacked or he's the greatest, what is important is what is about to happen. A new manager is due to be appointed and with the press throwing stories out thick and fast expect to hear something soon... lets just hope Levy has a business mind on him to get Rijkaard and not go for the cheap risky option of AVB.
