Under Tim Sherwood the team have begun to score freely. In 4 games they have managed 9 goals, but have conceded 5.
In 3 of Sherwood's 4 games in charge our strikers have been on the scoresheet and involved in the goals scored. With the fortunes of the team changing I cannot imagine that a new striker or new midfielder would be needed or deal sanctioned by Levy (a new left back should be bought and a new young keeper).
Soldado may have only scored 1 in 4 of Sherwood’s games, but he has notched up 4 assists. Ade has notched up 3 goals. With a front two performing like this why would you risk spoiling their confidence and upsetting your current players by bringing in a new face up front? If JD goes I would like to buy a youngster such as Jordan Rhodes (who has managed to score over 20 goals a season for the past 4 season and has 13 already this season) and at the age of 23 you would have to be crazy not to try and sign the Scot.
For me Spurs need to finish the job from the summer, sign Fabio Contraeo and Bernd Leno (Leverkuson) one of the hottest goalkeeper prospects in the world.
