Spurs Transfers Failing spectacularly

Last updated : 01 September 2015 By Hoggg

Firstly Spurs thought they could land Berahino (resulting in a likely fail), then Wanyama was pushing for a move and he has now joined up with the Kenyian squad (Southampton to reject any possibility of the player leaving), Pato was linked and his agent "flying into London (but it seems that it has back fired) and now Witsel (which seemed a ridiculous notion) has now been blown up in the water.

It has been a strange transfer window with Levy & Co seemingly move quickly to transform the squad making great signings, but since selling on Soldado all seems to have stalled and resulted in a complete failure.

This demonstrates again that Spurs MUST sign their primary targets early and if it fails move on! You cannot in this day and age leave everything to the last minute in hope of some last minute deals.

I am concerned with a distinct lack of fire power up front and lacking the steel in midfield (so desperately needed), but it seems to be one of those threads that have been pulled and everything unraveled.

This Spurs fan hopes that Levy just has us all hanging, but I fear that we may see some further panic signings much like Saha (sorry Louis but it didn't work with us).

I mean no disrespect to Son and N'Jie, but neither are out and out strikers and will likely take time to settle, so a striker and defensive midfielder are paramount for the club to progress this season.
