Suarez to get a 2 yr ban?

Throughout Luiz's rise to fame he has been a regularly to get into the papers. This season in the Premier League he was fantastic and rightl recognised as the best striker in the league. However the fruit loop is back in the papers for all the wrong reasons.

I have noticed that Uruguay are very quick to make excuses for the player, but you cannot possibly excuse any part of his behavior. Suarez himself tries to brush it under the carpet!

Twice is bad enough but it has to be the 3 strikes and you're out policy....... surely?

He has now been stupid enough to do it on a world stage so FIFA MUST get the punishment right! A 7 match ban was never good enough (for the last incident) and to be honest will a 24 match ban be good enough either? Although I enjoy watching the player he cannot be allowed to continue to get away with it.

I feel exceptionally sorry for Liverpool as this will have a huge knock on effect to them, but they took the risk by keeping the player.

For me 2 years may be too long but a 1 year ban covering domestic football should be enough to remind this muppet that it’s about football not him! Its about fair play, not his way. For me he has refused to play to the rules of the game twice now on the world's biggest stage (at the last world cup he should have been red carded for purposely handling the ball on the line) so throw the book at him.

Life time bans etc would be a complete travesty, but 1 year is likely what can get the player to concentrate fully on football as he did in the English Premier League this season.

In terms of a smear campaign... jesus can they milk it! The English press are not smearing anything, maybe tell Suarez to grow up! Maybe remove his teeth! There is no excuse and no reason to even contemplate such a bizarre act. If someone flings an elbow out or rushes into a tackle and cannot stop what follows, you can likely blame it on anything you want. However Suarez as he has each and every time planned the whole thing, he waited for the right time and even went about the best way to try and hide his shameful act. You cannot blame anyone other than the player and as a national coach I would clearly state that you have no comment, as the country's FA no comment, as now they are allowing themselves to look as bad as Suarez by stating it was nothing or it didn't happen!

The only thing blown out of proportion here is the treatment of their player. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
