Tottenham to miss on PL Star

Ok Milner is not the player that City believed he would be when bought from Villa, but he never quits, is fully committed and posses the attributes that MoPo requires.

Being a free agent you have to question whether Tottenham have any real intelligence.

Milner is not a world star, but would have been a great addition to the squad. Needing midfielders within the squad to replace a lot of "deadwood" this would have been seen as a great bit of business.

Seeing Spurs miss out on such a player has to raise questions as to what is going on behind the scenes?

Tottenham are being linked with numerous "troubled" players such as Ayew and Thauvin who are more likely to cause disruption to the dressing room than benefit on the pitch, seems ludicrous.

I would like to see real effort go into this transfer window.

Wimmer seems like a sensible signing, but one signing before the window open does not show clear direction and that efforts have been made to tie business up quickly.

A clear change would see Spurs tie all business up within 2 weeks of the window opening, however we can expect to see their business drag out into the final day.
