Luka was quick to say that Bale is not good enough to pull off a result against Croatia by himself, but last night proved again that Luka's thought process is not the best.
Bale had a good game compared to Luka's low key performance (was he on the pitch?). In fact the only thing that stopped Wales from pulling off a memorable victory was the clumsy and unfair challenges of the Croatian team. To prove to myself that I was not being bias seeing the game unfold I went back over the reports from the newspapers, but surprise surprise it’s all Bale. So poor in fact was Luka's game the only mention he gets in the report are that he was left standing by a great run by Bale (who was then fouled), oh and Luka managed to get booked.
Ok yes I will admit that I have pride and would support Wales as well as all teams in the UK (plus Rep of Ireland) in the lead up to the World Cup (and if they obtain a place), so it’s not just that he was silly enough to insult Bale, it was that he insulted Wales.
Either way Luka aside I feel that Croatia were lucky. Wales had the better chances and more of them (in my opinion), so the lads from Wales can certainly hold their heads high.
