Bobby ready to hammer boyhood club

Bobby Zamora has admitted that his recent dry spell in front of goal is not affecting his confidence and is prepared to knock out the club he supported as a boy. Zamora, signed from Brighton in the close season is yet to score in a Spurs shirt but is confident that his time will come. He told The Sun newspaper, 'As long as the ball is the box I know I'll get on the end of one sooner or later'. He will be hoping that it starts tonight, despite the game being against the side he watched in his youth, 'I was born and raised in East Ham and used to go and watch the Hammers'.

Zamora is not a certain starter in tonight's clash, with Helder Postiga desperate for a start, although David Pleat may well play both new signings with Robbie Keane taking a place on the bench. It has been reoprted that Postiga is set to leave the club in January after being angered at being left out for Sunday's draw with Middlesbrough. However, with the financial problems at Spurs only just announced, this story seems like nothing more than a clever slice of paper talk.
