Christian Eriksen's agent is set to meet Inter directors in Milan on Friday as talks progress over a January departure from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Danish international has repeatedly turned down the offer of a contract extension in north London with his current deal set to expire in the summer, prompting sides across Europe to battle to secure his signature this window.

Equally, there was a possibility that he could run down his Spurs deal and leave the club for free at the end of the season. However, Tottenham have always been keen to recoup a transfer fee for his services, thus a January move has become more likely.
It seems as though Inter are the side closing in on doing so, after it was revealed by Fabrizio Romano that Eriksen's agent was flying to Milan on Friday where he will have face-to-face talks with the Inter hierarchy over a potential switch.
The Serie A leaders had initially hoped to sign Eriksen in the summer, but instead are willing to offer the 27-year-old a contract now and pay Spurs a fee, believed to be £20m, to fend off the interest of rumoured suitors Real Madrid and Manchester United.
The Red Devils had wanted to sign a number ten during the last window, but failed to secure a target despite Eriksen's desperation to depart José Mourinho's side. As the Evening Standard report, they pushed to secure his signature but ultimately accepted that the Dane preferred a move abroad and have now moved onto other targets.
