Clemence ready for action

Clemence completed his first full 90 minutes in Tuesday's reserve victory against Chelsea and now feels ready to step back into the big time.

"I was delighted to play 90 minutes, it was my first one since Leicester at the end of last season," he told the clubs official website.

"I felt I played okay as well, had a couple of moments in the second half, but completed the 90 minutes and now onto the next game. Hopefully I'll even an outside chance of making the squad this weekend.

"I was pleased the manager was here to see it as well and it's now up to him.

"You get general fitness playing for the reserves but once you play in the Premiership, you then have to get that fitness. There is a difference, another step up.

"If I got put into the Premiership next weekend I'd probably get through it on adrenalin but the next couple of games would be hard. I feel I'm ready for it but it's up to the manager."
